Ana Lucía, 38 years old
Single mother, volunteer at a community kitchen
Loja, Ecuador
Her story
Ana Lucía had lost her job, her health was declining, and her youngest son was facing a chronic illness. The nights were long, and her prayers seemed to go unanswered. But in the midst of brokenness, she began serving as a volunteer at a community kitchen. There, among shared meals and silent prayers, she discovered that God had not abandoned her.
One morning, while handing out bread, a woman offered her a job at a Christian foundation. Little by little, her health improved, her son received treatment, and her faith grew stronger. Ana Lucía found not only provision, but purpose. Today, she leads a prayer group for mothers in vulnerable situations.
Ana Lucía’s testimony teaches us that:
- God is never late, He arrives with purpose.
- Service opens doors that despair cannot see.
- Faith is cultivated in the everyday.
- Sharing bread can heal the soul.
